Chris Brown , CSCS, Cert MDT
Chris
joined Fredericksburg Orthopaedic Associates in May of 2004.
He is the director of physical therapy here at FOA. He graduated
from the University of Evansville in Evansville, IN, in May 2002
with a BS in Biology, BS in PT, and Masters in PT. He received his
certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy of the spine in
2007.
Chris
is an avid sports enthusiast and participated in division AA football
and his interests carry over professionally in sports and orthopaedic
physical therapy. He is a certified strength and Conditioning
Specialist and a member of the sports section of the American Physical
Therapy Association as well as a member of the National Strength
& Conditioning Association. Chris
is also a member of the RVFOA and officiates local youth through
high school varsity football games. He lives in Fredericksburg
with his wife Katie and son C.J.
Melissa
A. McCormack, MS, PT
Melissa
has been a Physical Therapist with Fredericksburg Orthopaedic Associates
Physical Therapy Institute since 1998. After completing her
undergraduate education at the University of Virginia, Melissa continued
her education at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond and
received her Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy in 1998.
She is currently working with FOA on a PRN basis.
Grace
Phillips, OTR, CHT
Grace
is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Occupational
Therapy. She has worked in a variety of settings including
university and community hospitals, home health services, work hardening
centers, and orthopedic clinics. She has specialized in hand
rehabilitation for several years and is a certified hand therapist.
