During the course of your physical or occupational therapy treatments, your therapist may feel that you would benefit from a piece of equipment or equipment accessory that Medicare does not cover. If this occurs, your therapist will inform you ahead of time and you will be asked to sign a "Medicare waiver" indicating you are aware that Medicare will not pay for the item and that you are responsible for the charge in full.

If you are unwilling to sign the waiver, the item will not be provided to you.
