| 1.
What can I expect on my first visit? |
| |
On
your first visit, one of our licensed physical or occupational
therapist will conduct an initial evaluation. This allows
the therapist to become familiar with you and your injury.
The therapist will set up a personnel treatment plan based
on your needs and the Physician's orders. This may include
exercise, pain relieving modalities, manual techniques,
education, or multiple other options. You should plan
to be here for one to two hours for the first visit. |
2. How long is an average therapy session? |
| |
An
average therapy appointment will last about an hour. |
3. What should I wear? |
| |
You
should wear loose comfortable clothing that will allow
you to exercise and provide the therapist the ability
to assess the affected area. |
4. Does my insurance cover therapy? |
| |
Most
insurance companies cover therapy services. Our patient
service representative will contact your insurance company
to obtain your benefits. These benefits will be given
to you at your first visit. Any questions regarding your
exact coverage limitations should be directed to your
insurance company. |
5. How often will I need to come and for how long? |
| |
The
therapist and physician will set up a program on your
initial visit. Most patients attend 2 to 3 sessions per
week for an average of 3 to 4 weeks; however, this will
vary depending on the nature of your condition. |
6. What are your hours? |
| |
We
have appontments from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through
Friday. |
7. What if I need to cancel an appointment? |
| |

you're unable to attend a scheduled therapy appointment,
give us a call as soon as possible and we will re-schedule
your appointment for you. |

| |
We
are in constant communication with your physician and
send updates on your progress in therapy. |
