| HEATHER
N. BROWN, MSEd, ATC, PA-C is
a long-time resident of Spotsylvainia,
Virginia. She received her BA in sports
medicine from St. Andrew's Presbyterian
College in North Carolina in 1993 and
earned her Masters in Education as a Certified
Athletic Trainer from Old Dominion University
in 1995. After serving as the Head Athletic
Trainer for Hampton University's Division
I-AA athletic programs and later as the
Sports Medicine Program Coordinator for
Guilford College she attended Wake Forest
University's Medical School - Physician
Assistant Program. Ms. Brown graduated
from Wake Forest in 2001 where upon she
joined the staff at Fredericksburg Orthopaedics
Associates. She is an active member of
the National Athletic Trainer's Association
and the American Academy of Physician
Assistants. Primary responsibitlies for
MS. Brown are assisting Dr. Robert Squillante,
our spine specialist with both hospital
and office management of adolesent and
adult spine related disease. |
| PATRICIA
K. KEENAN, PA-C is from New
York. She received her B.S. in Biology
from New York State University in 1991.
She earned an additional B.S. as a Physician's
Assistant from George Washington University
in 1997. She has performed as a
surgical first assistant and has been
in the field of medicine for twelve years.
Ms. Keenan has been with FOA since January
2002. |
| GREGORY
E. BEE, PA-C is from Michigan.
He graduated from the University
of Michigan 1996 (BS); James Madison University
1999 (MS); and, James Madison University
2005 (BS in Physician Assistant studies).
He is a certified athletic trainer since
1997; certified and licensed physician
assistant since 2005; and, former head
athletic trainer for JMU football team.
His interest is in sports medicine.

MEREDITH
G. CHAPPELL, PA-C received
her Bachelor's of Science in Sports Medicine
from the University of Virginia in 1994
followed by a Master's in Education in
Adapted Physical Education in 1997.
That same year, she opened and began operating
a fitness club where she focused on community
health, wellness and personal training.
In 2002, she sold the business to attend
the Physician Assistant Program at James
Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Meredith
has been a licensed and certified physician
assistant since 2004. Prior to joining
the FOA staff in 1996, she practiced pain
management. Her interests include
outdoor activities, running, and contact
sports.

| JOY
R. SHEWBRIDGE, M.M.S., PA-C
is a Virginia native from Shenandoah County.
She received her Bachelors Degree in Health
Science from Lock Haven University of
Pennsylvania in 1989. She immediately
entered the PA Program at Emory University
School of Medicine, earning a Masters
Degree in December 1991. She has
been a Board Certified Physician Assistant
since 1992, practicing in Neurosurgery
in Northern Virginia for 13 years and
locally for 3 years. She joined
FOA in July 2008, working primarily with
Dr. Kenneth Accousti to assist in the
care of patients with shoulder complaints.
She also maintains an interest in disorders
affecting the adult spine.
